About us
We are a friendly paddle sports club, based on Errwood Reservoir in the beautiful Peak District’s Goyt Valley. We have a very supportive and safety conscious environment that welcomes beginners, improvers and experienced paddlers who use SUPs, sea kayaks, open boats (canoes) and river boats.
We have 60 plus members and continue to grow thanks to our welcoming and encouraging approach. We have trips, aim to go to new places and share great paddling experiences.
Our club is an affiliated member of Paddle UK - paddleuk.org.uk

When do we paddle?
We paddle on Errwood Reservoir on Thursday evenings (5pm – 7.30pm) and Saturday or Sunday mornings (10.00am – 1.00pm), between the start of April until the end of October. If water levels are low, we may access alternative locations, such as nearby canals. Members can request to paddle on Errwood at other times and more information on this can be found in the Club Information section below.
Errwood is a drinking water source managed by United Utilities who have strict rules governing the reservoir. The only authorised way to access the water is as a member of either Peak Paddlers or Errwood Sailing Club. No other public access is permitted.
During winter months we may provide paddle safety and skill sessions at Buxton swimming pool, or alternative locations – members are required to book in advance and there is a separate fee (usually £10.00) per session.

Our future plans
We are currently developing areas of best practice along with Paddle UK, plus we are looking to boost the Club in terms of membership, activities, trips away, making friends and having fun!
If you want to get involved (always appreciated) or have any ideas about any aspect of our Club, we are very receptive—just approach a member of the Committee
